AdatVissza adatmentés Kft. gives priority to protecting personal data and clients’ confidential content during data recovery activities.
Below we describe the purposes, legal bases, retention periods, recipients, and your rights (EU 2016/679 – GDPR). (downloadable version)
1) Categories of data processed
- Client identification and contact data (name, company name, contact person, e-mail, phone, billing).
- Administrative data (work order, fault description, performance and payment data).
- Device/media data (type, serial number, configuration, condition, logs).
- Data to be recovered (files and metadata — only to the extent necessary for recovery, without content analysis).
2) Purposes and legal bases
- Performance of a contract (data recovery, diagnostics, client communication) — GDPR Art. 6(1)(b).
- Legal obligation (retention of accounting documents) — GDPR Art. 6(1)(c).
- Legitimate interests (IT/security logging, quality assurance) — GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); balancing test available on request.
- Consent (case studies/testimonials/marketing — optional, withdrawable at any time) — GDPR Art. 6(1)(a).
3) Retention periods
- Safety copy of recovered data: after notice/handover 3 business days, then permanent deletion (may be reasonably extended in case of a complaint).
- Physical clones/technical copies: destroyed promptly after project closure (within a maximum of 3 business days).
- Administrative/accounting data: as required by law (typically 8 years).
4) Access and security
- Offline environment: actual data recovery is performed on workstations not connected to the Internet.
- Access control: only staff involved in the case and bound by confidentiality may access the data.
- Measures: role-based permissions, logging, physical protection, support for encrypting target media.
- Data minimisation: only data necessary for recovery are processed; we do not perform content analysis.
5) Data transfers and recipients
We do not transfer recovery content to third parties, except at your explicit request (e.g., courier), upon a mandatory legal request, or to processors supporting operations (e.g., accounting, web hosting — these not have access to data backup systems).
